Security Officer Arrested For Breaking Into Company He Guarded www.privateofficer.com


FORT SMITH, Ark. Oct. 29, 2007- Fort Smith police say a security guard was arrested for allegedly stealing items from a business he was supposed to be protecting.

Police say 29-year-old George Plumbtree was arrested yesterday on two counts of breaking and entering. Plumbtree was an employee with Professional Security, and part of his duties included keeping an eye on Jay Pauley Toyota in Fort Smith.

The dealership called police with reports of thefts from two vehicles. A DVD player, camera and video game player were stolen.

Police say Plumbtree was arrested after surveillance video showed the break-in.

Professional Security did not respond to media requests for an interview or comments regarding this incident.
