Loss Prevention Agent Kicked In Head During Shoplifting Incident by; Rick McCann www.privateofficer.com

Bremerton WA. Oct. 29, 2007

A Bremerton man has been charged with third-degree assault for allegedly fighting with loss-prevention officers at the Fred Meyer store on Highway 303.
According to court documents, Keith Anderson, 52, was seen grabbing a bunch of plastic grocery bags from the checkout stand, then going around the store taking items and putting them into the bags. He left the store without paying for the goods.
Two loss-prevention officers followed Anderson outside and ordered him to stop. He didn't, so they took him to the ground. Anderson allegedly resisted being handcuffed and kicked one of the officers in the head. An off-duty Naval Criminal Investigative Service agent and her husband helped the men detain him.
The stolen food and clothing totaled $107.86.
