Casino Security Discover Murder Victim by; Rick McCann www.privateofficer.com

BILOXI, Miss. --Biloxi police are investigating the death of an Arkansas businessman, whose body was found Thursday in his room at the Isle of Capri Casino.
Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove said James "Jim" Johnson II, 49, of Hot Springs, Ark., died of a gunshot wound in the stomach.
Johnson's body was discovered by casino security after he failed to show for his tee time.
"We're following up on several different leads," based on the physical evidence recovered, said Biloxi Police Capt. Darrin Peterson, "and trying to identify people that were on the floor (Wednesday) night, anybody that came into contact with the victim during the night.
"In addition to that, we are attempting, with the Isle of Capri (staff), to identify personnel that had contact with the victim, that may have been around the area (Wednesday) night."
Before selling his business about seven years ago, Johnson was part owner of Aerocell Structures Inc., a company that repaired aircraft components, said friend Jim Cooper of Arkansas, who used to work with him.
A father of two sons, both graduates of the University of Arkansas, Johnson was a "real upstanding citizen," Cooper said.
"We're always monitoring our security, monitoring our casino and security procedures," said Bill Kilduff, the Isle's vice president and general manager. "We think all of our procedures were followed. When people check into hotels, people have suitcases and obviously it's not like an airport and you go through detectors. We do the best that we can."
